Styling Without Borders: Celebrating Culture and Identity in Every Event

If there’s one thing I’ve learnt through ZAZ Events, it’s that no two love stories are ever the same and that’s exactly how it should be.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of styling weddings and events that bring together the most incredible cultural mixes: Indian-Jamaican, Moroccan-French, Jamaican-Chinese, Sri Lankan-Irish, Nigerian heritage weddings, and so many more. I still get goosebumps thinking about how each of them found their own rhythm, their own way of honouring tradition while creating something completely new.

That’s the heartbeat of ZAZ. That’s what lights me up.

I created ZAZ Events because I didn’t see enough spaces that truly embraced diversity—not just in skin colour, but in culture, in religion, in identity, in love. So many couples would come to me unsure of how to celebrate both sides of their heritage. And honestly? I get it. Sometimes it feels like you’re trying to fit into boxes that were never designed for your kind of story.

But here, there are no boxes. No rules. No borders.

Just your story—and all the beautiful ways we can honour it.

More than styling—this is storytelling.

When I sit with couples, I don’t ask what’s trending. I ask: What matters to you? What are your family traditions? What sounds remind you of home? What colours feel like your childhood? What rituals do you want to bring into your future?

And then we build from there.

It might be a zaffa entrance followed by a gospel choir. It might be tea ceremonies, barefoot vows, bilingual blessings, or breaking bread with two totally different families who now feel like one.

It’s in those moments—the ones full of meaning—that the real magic happens.

A celebration that feels like you.

This work is personal to me. As someone who understands what it means to navigate multiple cultures and identities, I want you to feel safe, seen, and excited to celebrate your love your way.

Whether you’re queer, interfaith, multicultural, spiritual-but-not-religious—or none of the above—you’re welcome here.

I’m here for you. And I’ll do everything I can to make sure your day feels authentically yours.

So if you’re planning a wedding (or engagement, or baby shower, or birthday…) and wondering how to bring it all together, I’d love to chat.

Let’s throw out the rulebook. Let’s create something bold, soulful, and full of heart.

With love,

Zayna x
